Living In Sycamore

The City of Sycamore offers numerous amenities and activities for its residents, including spacious, well-kept parks, and a community golf course, activity center, dog park, splash pad, and public library. Sycamore’s active downtown is filled with locally-owned restaurants, shops, and other businesses.

The annual Pumpkin Festival with its food, parade, and pumpkin decorating contest draws tens of thousands to our downtown for the harvest fun the week before Halloween. Local farms and orchards open their gates to celebrate the fall harvest with activities and attractions.

The Sycamore public school district offers excellent education for our children and is consistently recognized as a leading school district in the state.

Sycamore is the county seat of DeKalb county and the historic courthouse is in the center of downtown.
